I have played millions of hands of blackjack. I began working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have bet on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent an abundance of money at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to defeat the game.
I still like the game and wager on a regular basis. Over this time period I have played a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get loaded with this method or beat the casino, nonetheless you will have a lot of fun. This method is founded on the fact that blackjack appears to be a game of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets extremely thrilling on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in series your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a few years ago with $750 after 30 mins using this method! And a few months ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!
You must understand that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you notice betting this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar table.
Bet 5 dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet
Bet five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of $10
Bet $10
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 10 dollar wager
Bet ten dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $20
Bet 20 dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the original 20 dollar wager
Wager $20
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Wager $40
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $40 wager
Bet forty dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total bet of 80 dollar
Bet eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial eighty dollar bet
Wager $80
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total wager of 160 dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial one hundred and 60 dollar bet
If you left at this point you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It is hard to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
