I have gambled on countless of rounds of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have gambled on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost a lot of cash at twenty-one. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still like the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have gambled on a variation of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get loaded with this method or beat the casino, still you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that chemin de fer seems to be a match of runs. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I wager with basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I lose again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the bet back down to the original value.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets extremely fun at times. If you win a few hands in series your bets go up very fast. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a couple of years back with $750 after 45 mins using this method! And a number of months ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!
You have to comprehend that you can give away much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you notice wagering this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar table.
Bet 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 5 dollar bet
Wager $5
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Wager $10
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $10 bet
Bet $10
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total bet of twenty dollar
Bet $20
Take $20 paid to you, leave the first twenty dollar wager
Bet 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Bet forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the original forty dollar wager
Bet $40
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total bet of $80
Bet 80 dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first eighty dollar bet
Wager $80
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $160
Bet $160
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $160 bet
If you left at this instance you would be up 3 hundred and 15 dollars !!
It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
